Arrival at Haridwar & Har Ki Pauri
Arrive at Haridwar and check into accommodation near Har Ki Pauri. Visit Mansa Devi Temple via cable car for panoramic views of the Ganga and the city. Explore the ancient Bharat Mata Temple. At 6:00 PM, secure a spot at Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti — the 'footprint of God' where Vishnu is believed to have left his mark. Witness hundreds of priests rotate massive brass lamps as bells toll and conch shells blow. Float your own diya on the river. Cultural tip: Remove shoes before approaching the ghat; women should cover their heads.

Morning Rituals & Transfer to Rishikesh
Rise at 4:30 AM for the morning Ganga snan (holy bath) at Har Ki Pauri — the most auspicious time to bathe in the Ganga. Experience the cool, silty waters believed to wash away sins. After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh (25km). Visit the iconic Laxman Jhula suspension bridge and the Trayambakeshwar Temple. Cross to the eastern bank and walk through the Beatles Ashram (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram), where the Beatles composed much of the White Album in 1968 — its meditation domes are now covered in beautiful street art.

Yoga Class & Triveni Ghat Aarti
Attend a morning yoga class (6:00 AM) at one of Rishikesh's traditional ashrams — practice Hatha Yoga asanas and Pranayama breathing under a guru's guidance. Visit the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, the largest in Rishikesh. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat — Rishikesh's equivalent of Har Ki Pauri, more intimate and less crowded. The singing of 'Ganga Maiya Ki Jai' by hundreds of devotees creates an atmosphere of pure devotion. Depart with a yoga mat and spiritual books from the ashram bookstore.
